Privacy

Are my documents uploaded anywhere?

No. Scans, recognized text and file names are stored and processed only on your device. They leave the device only when you export or share them yourself.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no login. Open the app and start scanning.

Does the app track me or show ads?

No. There are no ads and no analytics or tracking tools in the app or on this website.

What happens to my documents if I delete the app?

They are deleted with it, because they exist only on your device. Export anything you want to keep to Files or another app before deleting.

Who can see my purchase?

Apple processes the payment. A subscription service, RevenueCat, receives an anonymous ID and your purchase history to confirm your PRO access. Neither of us receives your documents. Details are in the privacy policy.

Scanning

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Scanning, editing, text recognition and exporting all work offline. Internet is needed only to buy or restore PRO.

Which languages can text recognition read?

It uses Apple's on-device text recognition, which supports languages including English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Ukrainian, depending on your iOS version.

Can I search inside my documents?

Search finds documents and folders by name. It does not search the text inside them.

How do locked folders work?

A locked folder is hidden behind Face ID or your device passcode inside the app. Your files are protected by iOS encryption on your device; the app adds no extra encryption of its own.

What happens when I delete a file?

On the free plan you get a 5-second Undo, then the file is permanently deleted. With PRO, deleted files stay in Trash for 30 days and can be restored.

What if my PRO ends?

Nothing already locked or in Trash is lost. Locked folders stay openable and Trash items stay restorable until their 30 days end. New locks, new Trash items and new password-protected PDFs need PRO.

PRO and billing

What's free and what's PRO?

Scanning, text recognition, signatures, page editing, folders, search by name and exporting are free. PRO adds three things: locking folders with Face ID, password-protecting PDFs you share, and recovering deleted files for 30 days.

How do I cancel my subscription?

On your device, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose My Scanner PRO. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

I bought PRO but it isn't unlocked.

In the app, open Settings and tap Restore purchase while signed in to the same Apple Account you used to buy. If it still doesn't work, contact us.

Does PRO work on my other devices?

Yes, on any of your devices signed in with the same Apple Account. Use Restore purchase on the new device. Documents don't move between devices automatically.
