Terms of use

Effective 17 October 2026. The rules for using My Scanner and its PRO subscription.

Agreement

These terms apply to your use of the My Scanner app for iPhone and iPad, provided by Rameshbhai Anghan ("we"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them and to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent permitted.

Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where the law allows it.

Your documents

You own everything you scan or import. We never access your documents; they are stored on your device. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to scan, store and share the documents you use with My Scanner.

Because documents are stored only on your device, you are responsible for keeping copies of anything important. Deleting the app, losing your device or resetting it can permanently delete your documents.

PRO subscriptions and purchases

  • PRO is available as an auto-renewing subscription (weekly or yearly) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of a free trial or introductory period if you don't cancel before it ends.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
  • Introductory offers and free trials are available once per person, as determined by Apple.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Use Restore purchase in the app to unlock PRO on another device signed in with the same Apple Account.

How the features work

  • Text recognition is automatic and can contain errors. Check important text before relying on it.
  • Password-protected PDFs are AES-128 encrypted and cannot be opened if you forget the password. We cannot recover it.

Acceptable use

Use the app lawfully. Don't use it to forge, alter or misrepresent documents, or to process documents you have no right to.

Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, we make no warranties beyond those stated here, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost documents or data. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms and the app. We will post the new terms on this page with a new effective date. Your licence ends if you break these terms; you can stop using the app at any time by deleting it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Gujarat, India have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory rights you have in your own country.
